Brew are Tin and Glass?

Tin and Glass is a full-bodied member of the Windy Arbour Farm family. Owned by the family behind the renowned Farm Shop, and situated on the farm itself, it was an idea born out of an afternoon beer on the terrace staring at the Mediterranean Sea from Rhodes. Knowing one of the farm’s commercial tenants was due to vacate, we (Rachel & Geoff) began to wonder who or what, mid-pandemic, would be a good idea to bring in.

Lock down trade had highlighted what interest there was in local real ales, probably more interest than there was room on the shelves. Perhaps a craft ale shop would be a good idea? But who would want to take the risk at that time? Maybe not, we thought. We decided the best option was to try and use the space ourselves until things opened up again in 2021 when there would be more people looking for premises. 

So if we were going to use it ourselves, then how? Maybe Christmas order collections? Storage? Or, well, we could stick all the beer in there temporarily. That developed into “we might as well add some extra beers to the offering” eventually arriving at…. “Let’s just do it properly and see what happens!”

So here we are, Tin and Glass was born and since the opening Friday, 13th November I might add, never looked back. We currently stock in excess of 200 different lines at any one time, from local to national to international and have already (4 months on) invested in additional display units and a full stock facility in the making.
